The district held over two-dozen listening sessions during spring 2019, mailed 12,000 surveys directly to residents, and invited community input through an online survey. We encourage you to contact us through our Connect page with your questions and comments.
Superintendent Aaron Sinclair is meeting with various community groups, and will be happy to meet with yours if you would like.
ELECTION DAY IS November 5.
Your participation and investment are important. On November 5, residents of Sauk Rapids and Rice will decide whether to replace Pleasantview Elementary as the first step in the district’s long-term facilities plan.
WHAT ARE RESIDENTS VOTING ON?
Residents will vote on a single ballot question to replace Pleasantview Elementary with a new school on the current site.
WHERE TO VOTE EARLY/ABSENTEE
You can vote early/absentee by mail or in person starting September 20. If you are not registered to vote at your current address, you can register in-person when early/absentee voting.
You can vote early/absentee in person at the District Office - 1833 Osauka Road NE, Sauk Rapids (Enter Door 2) - on weekdays between 8:00a.m. and 4:00 pm. until November 4. Extended early voting hours are available:
Tuesday, September 24 - 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Monday, September 30 - 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, October 9 - 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, October 24 - 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Monday, October 28 - 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
