A PLAN FOR ONE STORM, ONE FUTURE
We want to do all we can to ensure Sauk Rapids-Rice students are prepared for life after graduation, no matter their career goals. To do that, we need to invest in the quality of our school buildings and bring them up to 21st century learning standards.
On November 5, 2019, Sauk Rapids-Rice residents will vote on one ballot question for $37.1 million to replace Pleasantview Elementary with a new facility on the current site.
The school district engaged in a careful planning process to evaluate facility needs and identify a plan to address those needs. These were the top five facility issues identified by residents:
Address the issues at Pleasantview Elementary.
Address the need for more elementary space.
Address the need for more early childhood space.
Address the safety of traffic flow/pick-up and drop-off areas.
Preserve our other current buildings and land spaces.
A public decision on Pleasantview will give the district direction on future facility needs and how to best fund them using available funding sources for facility improvements. This includes general fund and lease levy dollars.
The purpose of this website is to provide the information you will need to make an informed vote. Please review this information ahead of the referendum and share your comments through our Connect page.
Thanks for your interest in One Storm, One Future.
